Job Description
What you’ll do
Enable transparent, data-driven architectural decision-making by leading the automated collection and publication of insights.
Curate trustworthy key technology metrics across vast, heterogeneous architectures behind the Adevinta brands.
Work in a global team next to Principal Architects, yet feel comfortable and natural to spend time at the different levels of the organisation, focusing where the need for insights is at the moment.
Act as a trusted advisor for technical assessments of specific technology vendors and in the mergers and acquisitions context.
The role is open with location Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Berlin depending on the location of the new hire.
Who you are
As an experienced (10+ years) Software Engineer with a broad outlook, you deeply understand a range of technologies, programming languages, paradigms, and software development methodologies. You have a strong foundation in system design, distributed systems, database technologies, cloud computing, security, and scalability. With our platforms becoming increasingly centred around native mobile apps, knowledge of the iOS and Android landscape is a must.
As a Software Architect, you are skilled and knowledgeable in design and modelling frameworks, trade-off analysis, elicitation techniques, and technology trends. In this area, you aspire to be well-rounded and, as such, act as a consultant and an advisor, understand the business and its strategy, and link them with the technology.
As a Systems Thinker, you are able to observe events and data flowing throughout the organisation. Based on those observations, you notice patterns and surface connections, identifying potential risks and creating insights for measurable improvements in our technology landscape.
As a Storyteller, you combine your expertise, skills, and insights into consistent and authentic stories. Your communication skills enable you to sense your target audience and how to engage with it.
You need to be a current EU resident with a valid residence and work permit to work in the EU countries.
